10 AM -- Orchard Tour, including pathology, entomology, horticulture research & updates
NOON -- BBQ Lunch by Outlook Farm with pre-registration*
1 PM -- Announcements and UMass Updates-- Joanne Dinardo, MFGA President
1:30 PM -- "New Rules for Apple Scab and Fire Blight" Dr. Srdjan Acimovic, Cornell's Hudson Valley Lab
2 PM -- "Got Honeycrisp Time after Time? (And other things you did not know about flower bud initiation!)" Dr. Poliana Francescatto, Cornell's NYSAES at Geneva
2:30 PM -- Adjourn
3 pesticide license recertification credit hours will be offered for the day.
Registration for this meeting will be $35 for Mass. Fruit Growers’ Association members ($45 for non-members) per person and will include the orchard tour, educational program, pesticide recertification credits, and lunch.
To ensure the availability of the meal, please pre-register by adding the appropriate number and type (member or non-member) registrations to your shopping cart and paying with a credit card.
*We must receive pre-registrations by NOON on MONDAY, July 9 to assure availability of the lunch.
